Job Overview

The Trainee at Kinase is an entry-level position designed to provide recent graduates with a structured, hands-on introduction to client services and project delivery. This role serves as a launchpad into the business, offering exposure to real-world projects, internal collaboration, and the fundamentals of strategic communication. Working closely with experienced team members, the Trainee will begin developing the key skills and mindset required for success in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Scope of the Role

As a Trainee, you’ll gain experience across a range of core areas, including internal coordination, research, data handling, and project support. While not responsible for client interaction initially, you will be introduced to client work through team meetings, shadowing opportunities, and by supporting the preparation of client-facing materials. Your focus will be on learning through doing, gradually building confidence and understanding, while contributing meaningfully to team success.

Objectives

Team Integration: Work closely with colleagues across functions to support internal operations and share learnings.
Learning the Foundations: Develop a strong understanding of Kinase’s approach to client service, project delivery, and team collaboration through hands-on experience and training.
Project Support: Contribute to project execution through research, data organisation, and task coordination.
Research & Insight Building: Begin to gain a deep understanding of client needs, challenges and goals by assisting in the preparation of insightful content and presentations.
Professional Growth: Take ownership of your own learning, seek feedback, and build the communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills needed for progression.

Key Responsibilities

Team Support and Coordination

  • Assist with administrative and operational tasks to support day-to-day team workflows.

  • Help organise internal meetings, maintain project documentation, and track key deadlines.

  • Shadow senior colleagues to observe how client relationships and projects are managed.

  • Learn and apply internal systems, processes, and tools for project tracking and reporting.

  • Be an active and supportive part of a high-functioning team, contributing positively to team culture and success.

Client Work Support

  • Prepare drafts of client materials, including pre and post analysis, reports, emails and decks.

  • Assist in compiling background information and examples to support client project development.

  • Attend internal prep meetings for client sessions and begin to understand client expectations.

  • Help ensure client-facing documents are clear, accurate, and presentation-ready.

Research and Insight Development

  • Conduct background and competitor research to inform strategy and content planning.

  • Organise and summarise findings into simple, actionable formats.

  • Help maintain up-to-date reference libraries and research archives for internal use.

  • Stay engaged with current trends in marketing, business, and the client’s sector.

Data Handling and Reporting

  • Support the collection and formatting of performance data using internal tools.

  • Help create visually consistent templates and basic reports for internal or client use.

  • Ensure records, trackers, and dashboards remain organised and up-to-date.

  • Contribute to ongoing analysis by helping to identify simple patterns or areas for review.

  • Delivering accurate work on time, balancing attention to detail with efficiency.

Learning and Development

  • Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and client onboarding activities.

  • Take feedback seriously and apply it to improve your performance and confidence.

  • Begin to develop core professional skills, including time management, prioritisation, communication, and collaboration.

  • Learn the building blocks of project delivery, client service, and strategic thinking.
